Translation and editing are not commodities, and there are a number of variables involved that make them harder to price. I quote for each job after carefully evaluating the text in question, applying a minimum charge of £30 and taking the following into account:

  Word count
  Deadline
  Difficulty
  Specialisation
  Formatting issues

The more straightforward the text and the longer the deadline, the lower the price. Complex formatting and exceptionally tangled or abstruse text will cost more. I usually offer discounts for large volume assignments and charge a premium for rush jobs over the weekend.
